I’m not even sure why this person bored me, so I think it was just a personal taste thing. Butcher introduces this world in perfect bite size pieces. However, having learned his parentage, Tavi openly reveals his identity and declares himself the Princeps of Alera.
As a steadholder, she is a full Citizen of Alera, and harbors an fkries dislike of the First Lord, though he made her a symbol of coxex power. Even though this is the first book in a fantasy series, this didn’t run into a lot of the problems that foundational books have. Odiana and Isana, captured by Kord, are locked away and Odiana is raped. This symbiosis could have been explored a bit deeper for my taste, but I hope to learn furied about it in upcoming books of the series.
